the one that started it all.
FRIDAY
We started the weekend off strong with an iconic opening party at the Island Breeze, greeting our first WOW attendees with cocktails and a DJ set by Lia Zafiri as they stepped off the ferry.
And the first night we LIVED for BETTY and Antigone Rising at the Ice Palace.
SATURDAY
The next day we continued the party at the Ice Palace with the Allergy Season Market Extravaganza, showcasing 15+ talented and unique queer woman vendors + artists.
Outside, guests got free (and very, very hot) haircuts from the Barb Shop.
Setting the vibe during the market were chill acoustic sets by Jay Rosie, Lesser Known Women, Minnie Dee, & Top Shortage.
After a day of fun, revelers returned to their accommodations to prepare for the big event . . . the Belvedere Ball.
We started off honoring Minnie Rivera, co-founder of Henrietta Hudson, with the first Sapphyre Award - which recognizes a lifetime of service to the LGBTQ+ community.
Party-goers pranced around the hand-painted, silky-fabric-filled Belvedere Guest House for Men, a space usually not open to women.
Guests were WoWed by performers Justy and Holly Cinnamon, and dazzled by the burlesque acts by The Maine Attraction & Stormy Leather.
SUNDAY
Sundays are for Dyke Drag Brunch! Guests gathered at the Island Breeze to enjoy tasty food & drinks while being entertained by the iconic Didi Opulence, I’m Baby, Nirah, & Uncle Freak, with tunes by DJ Luna Rósa.
We closed off the magical weekend with a Hoedown featuring queer country artists Amber Martin & Ellie Stone, with a line dance class taught beforehand by the Salty Cowboy.
