HOW TO GET THERE
Get to the Sayville Ferry by Train
Take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to the Sayville station – check schedules and costs on the MTA/LIRR website, and book your tickets on the MTA ETix app.

The shuttle will drop you off at the Ferry that will take you to Cherry Grove, Fire Island.
Get to the Sayville Ferry by Car
Use your GPS to get to the Sayville Ferry Station (41 River Road, Sayville NY 11782).
Once arrived, you will be able to park at the River Road Parking (50 River Rd, Sayville, NY 11782) and walk to the Ferry located across the street less than 400ft away.
There are no cars allowed on Fire Island. – Please do not plug a Cherry Grove address into your gps and think you can drive there directly by car. YOU CANNOT!! You must go to the Sayville Ferry Station.
Get on the CORRECT ferry. The ferry to Cherry Grove is on the left-hand side of the station, where the bathrooms are. If you see a black triangle next to a time on the ferry schedule, that means it’s going to both Cherry Grove and the Pines.
Cash is King – there are many establishments that only take cash and the performers appreciate cash tips for their talent and hard work.
Cherry Grove in early fall is gorgeous!!! – The average temperature for early October is in the high 60s. Consider bringing layers of both warm and cool clothes, comfortable shoes for walking, a bathing suit, & all the different *fits* you plan on showcasing throughout the weekend. keep in mind – Many homes in Cherry Grove are not insulated and a space heater may not be available.
Embody your inner Rock Star – Costumes and accessories are highly encouraged, not only for special events, but for every day. You only live once, right?
Please be Kind, Considerate and Respectful to one another.
